The Beginning
After Achilles was born, his mother Thetis worried about him not being immortal. So, she did many things to help him get to the level of immortality his mother had. She tried many methods to help him including burning him then covering him with ambrosia oil, then dipping him in the River Styx. Dipping Achilles in the River didn't make him immortal it made him immune to pain. There was one thing his mother didn't take account of and that would lead to a very tragic event.
Childhood
After, Thetis dipped Achilles in the River Styx she had him go and live with Chiron the Centaur. She made that decision because of two prophecies she found out about including her and Achilles. She was so worried that when she had Achilles go and live with Chiron, she dressed him up as a girl to make sure no one recognized him. While he was with Chiron, his mother had Hephaestus make Achilles a sword and shield that would keep him safe over any danger.
Adulthood
As Achilles grew he was a very skilled and powerful person, so he decided to join the Greek army which was a good but bad idea. Achilles was the best soldier any army could have, he lead many battles while he was in the army. When his mother found out about him joining the army she had Hephaestus make Achilles a sword and shield that would keep him safe over any danger. While, that sword and shield kept him safe it did not keep the one's around him safe. As Achilles was fighting someone else, the Trojan hero Hector killed Patroclus. Patroclus was Achilles best friend and when he found out about what had happened Achilles tracked down Hector and started a sword fight with him. Hector then stopped fighting and begged to Achilles to spare him, Achilles did not care what he had to say and killed him. As an embarrassing gesture towards the Trojans Achilles dragged Hectors body from the back of his chariot.
The Death of Achilles
After, Achille's "talk" with Hector, another person had just found out about what had happened. Paris, Hectors brother had found out that his brother was killed by Achilles. Paris then made an entire plan to kill Achilles. Paris was not trained as a soldier and had no experience in combat. When the time came to kill Achilles a battle had broken out and both Paris and Achilles had joined. While Achilles was fighting, Paris decided to use a bow and arrow to shoot him. As said, Paris was not trained and had no experience, but the fatal arrow that hit Achilles in the area that was not covered by The River Styx was guided by Apollo the god of the sun. After, the death of Achilles, Greece was stuck in a state of mourning for their great hero.
